Preventice has grown out of its successful roots as a software company that started in 2007. The company developed deep experience in building medical applications that leveraged the emerging power of the smartphone. Preventice was founded on the vision that a clinically validated mHealth platform could bring together mobile, tablet, cloud, and physiological monitoring technologies to address current health care needs.
Preventice collaborated with the Mayo Clinic to develop the BodyGuardian Sensor, which uses sophisticated algorithms to support remote patient care. Preventice received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), enabling the company to market BodyGuardian for use in detecting and monitoring non-lethal cardiac arrhythmias for ambulatory patients. The company has also received ISO 13485: 2003 certification, and CE Mark approval. Royalties Mayo receives are used to support its not-for-profit mission in patient care, education and research.
Today, Preventice is a leading developer of mobile health solutions and remote monitoring systems focused on redefining patient care. Our goal is to raise the quality and cost of effectiveness of care and enhance the ongoing management of patients suffering from cardiac-related issues and other health disorders. Our PatientCare Platform allows us to work with leading innovators, such as Mayo Clinic and Merck, to develop new technologies.
Preventice, Inc., a privately held company, is growing rapidly around the world in terms of both employees and partnerships. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, with its main R&D center in Rochester, MN.
